Where are we?
The Online Teaching & Learning Faculty Support Lab is located on the 1604 UTSA campus in the Multidisciplinary Studies Building, Room 3.02.28.
Why are we here?
We’re here to help you form connections - combining technology and ideas to create quality instruction. But you are the most important part of the equation. We’re here to provide a space for you to work collaboratively with other faculty, sharing your important ideas and knowledge.
Assistance
In addition to our collaborative workspace, we have staff members who are able to provide assistance with the technology. We can assist you with a variety of Course Management Systems including, WebCT, blackboard, and Moodle. We also have expertise in a number of software applications from commonly used office applications, to advanced educational software such as Course Genie, Impatica, and Respondus.
Other Spaces
We also have a private meeting room that can be reserved by faculty. This space provides comfortable seating for 10 participants. It is fully equipped for video conferencing, allowing you to extend ideas to people around the globe. Our conference room doubles as a training classroom. For demonstration purposes, we provide a projector connected to a podium computer. With the addition of a camera and microphone, you can reach students far beyond the room. We can also provide laptops, which can be used for meetings and training sessions.
Technology
The faculty support lab combines the latest educational technology, including state-of-the-art computers with the most current versions of educational software. We also provide digital scanners and color and black-and-white laser printers.
